Welcome!

I'm so glad that you've joined me in discovering the world around me.

Recently my life has taken several unusual turns. I've discovered that I'm too focused on the things that the world says that I need to be. And in the process I'm missing out on some amazing things.

Join me as I go through life learning more about the simple things and noticing the beauty God has put right in front of me.

Lessons to Learn

God has a sense of humor. He loves to see how we handle the brick walls we encounter that lead to our growth. We see them as major obstacles that cannot be overcome. He sees how short it really is and that with a little (ok, a lot) of patience we would see what He sees. Well, my brick wall yesterday about killed me (at least in my mind).

I work from home and right now the "regular" job is getting intense. I'm hourly so every moment counts if I want a decent paycheck. My computer decided that it wanted to act up. It kept shutting down and restarting. I did everything I knew to do. It did no good. I was so frustrated because all I could think of was not getting any work done on Tuesday. I was worried about what it would cost to fix it or if I would need a new one. Well, I finally breathed and realized that maybe this was God's way of telling me to relax. Take a night off work and actually go to bed on time. I did and God blessed me for listening to Him this time that when we went into the office the next day, my husband was able to fix it. I'm up and working which was a big relief. It was also a lesson to relax and let Him have control.

I'm not too old to learn. Thank goodness.
