Welcome!

I'm so glad that you've joined me in discovering the world around me.

Recently my life has taken several unusual turns. I've discovered that I'm too focused on the things that the world says that I need to be. And in the process I'm missing out on some amazing things.

Join me as I go through life learning more about the simple things and noticing the beauty God has put right in front of me.

Genesis 3:7-8
Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Adam and Eve had disobeyed God. They had eaten of the fruit they knew was forbidden and they were ashamed. They were exposed and then they thought that they could hide from their closest friend, God. How many times do we do this? How often do we think that no one will know what we are doing? They’ll never know that we snuck that cigarette (though our hair holds the smell). They’ll never know that we can’t help but sneak a drink (though our breath betrays us). They’ll never know that we smoked a little weed (though our eyes are glazed). You cannot hide from God. He already knows. Admitting to Him is not going to shock Him. Admitting to yourself might be the hardest thing you do. We think that we are hiding it from others, but are we really hiding it from ourselves?
