Welcome!

I'm so glad that you've joined me in discovering the world around me.

Recently my life has taken several unusual turns. I've discovered that I'm too focused on the things that the world says that I need to be. And in the process I'm missing out on some amazing things.

Join me as I go through life learning more about the simple things and noticing the beauty God has put right in front of me.

Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.”

Familiar with facing impossible situations? There are so many situations that we find ourselves in that no human being could find their way out of. It can be financial, marriage, job-related, physical, mental. I’ll tell you an impossible story that happened recently. A boy that I grew up with was engaged and was having dinner with his fiancé. His acid reflux was worse than it ever was. So bad in fact, he asked her to take him to the hospital. They operated and found an almost black gall bladder. As they were taking it out, they discovered that one of his kidneys had some damage to it. Minutes later his aorta ruptured and began to fill his chest cavity. They rushed to repair damage. The doctor said that the odds were against him, maybe 1% of making it. He advised them to plan the funeral because he would not last the night if the next hour. The prayer chains kicked into high gear. That was 2 weeks ago. He is up walking around and will only lose two toes due to the circulation problem that arose because of it all. It was impossible. It was beyond impossible. But God thought it a piece of cake. He brought that young man back from death’s clutches and laughed in the Grim Reaper’s face. Never think that your situation is impossible. It might be for you and for others around you, but you are not God and neither are they. He has the power to do anything. Bring your situation to God, leave it at His feet, and let Him deal with it.
